July 14, 2006 – On June 24th, One Church One Child of Georgia will sponsor a Foster Care and Adoption Resource Fair. This resource fair will provide information to prospective foster and adoptive parents on the needs of children in state custody.

Augusta Child Support Office sends gifts to soldiers in Iraq
July 10, 2006 - The Augusta Child Support Office sent boxes of canned food, reading and writing materials, personal hygiene items and other gifts contributed by staff to the 169th Security Forces Squadron in Iraq as part of that agency’s Office of Child Support Services (OCSS) Military Friends Project.
Atlanta Falcons’ Billy “White Shoes” Johnson, lends support to Project Hope and Hurricane Katrina Survivors
July 21, 2006 - Project Hope, a crisis outreach program of The Georgia Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Addictive Diseases (MHDDAD), has enlisted the support of Billy "White Shoes" Johnson, director of player programs, and former player for the Atlanta Falcons, in a public service campaign targeted to Katrina evacuees. The campaign will feature Johnson in state-wide television and radio public service announcements encouraging survivors experiencing emotional distress to reach out for help.
Adoption Fair at Stonecrest Mall
July 21, 2006 - On August 19th, Stonecrest Mall and Crossroads News, in cooperation with the Georgia Department of Human Resources’ Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS), will sponsor an Adoption Resource Fair. This resource fair will provide information to prospective adoptive parents who are interested in opening their home to a child currently living in foster care.
