Parent & Children Services

Adopt a Child
The Office of Adoptions was created January 1, 1997, to streamline the state's adoption program and to increase the rate of adoptions for children meeting the Department of Human Resources definition of children with special needs who are in the permanent custody of DHR.

Child Care Assistance
Child care assistance for families with low incomes, families receiving temporary public assistance, and families transitioning from public assistance in obtaining child care so that the adults can work or attend education or training programs.

Childcare Support Services for Working Families
The Childcare and Parent Services (CAPS) program helps families in Georgia pay for early childhood and school age care and education programs.

Child Support Enforcement Services
Anyone who has a child support and/or medical support order, or wants to establish one, can apply for child support enforcement services.
