Welcome to the Georgia Department of Human Resources website. DHR is Georgia's human service agency whose mission is to strengthen Georgia families by providing services through about 80 programs that ensure their health and welfare. DHR Slates a Public Budget Hearing

The Georgia Department of Human Resources is conducting a budget hearing on August 5 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. It will be at the Helene S. Mills Senior Multipurpose facility, 515 John Wesley Dobbs Dr. Atlanta, GA 30312. The hearing will allow the public, special interests groups and lawmakers to voice thoughts on how to best use DHR resources. Do you have plans to help guide DHR's budget planning and development? If so, please complete the on-line survey. Even if you cannot attend the meeting, please use the survey to submit your ideas.

A disaster can affect or threaten the health of you and your family. Pandemic Influenza or a biological attack may force you to evacuate your home or confine you in it. Fulton County DFCS hosts back-to-school fair for foster kids - 08/05/08

August 4, 2008 – On August 9, the Fulton County Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS) will host a back-to-school community health fair for more than 1,300 foster children. The health fair will be at the Southwest DFCS Service Center at 515 Fairburn Road from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. This year’s event theme is "Growing Healthy Families" and is meant to enhance the personal, physical, material and nutritional readiness of every DFCS child and family as they return to school in August.
